FRP doors provide the best service life for high abuse and harsh environments. FRP is extremely strong and resist water and chemicals. FRP doors weigh less than doors made of other materials. Less door mass not only means reduced wear and tear on hardware and framing for longer entrance system life, but reduced opening effort as well. Graffiti removal from FRP with cleaning products eliminates the need to repaint or replace a door. FRP frames are dimensionally and aesthetically equiva- lent to hollow metal products, but offer superior performance, durability and longevity. FRP frames are constructed with heavy walled fiberglass profiles with bonded fiberglass reinforcements for hardware where required. Similar to hollow metal frames, FRP jambs are available with a standard 5-3/4″ double rabbet profile with 2″ face or an optional 4″ face head. A 12″ high mid-panel can be fabricated with any available door face sheet material, finish and texture options and even prepped to allow for installation of low-profile proximity card readers inside the mid-panel.
