A project manager at APV handles jobs from beginning to end.  A manager may start by consulting with the architect in the design stages of a project or with estimating and bidding a project.  They will then negotiate the closing of contracts, prepare all submittal information, and manage the project through completion. The position is very demanding, but gives the project manager complete independence. Starting with a base salary, project managers progress to full commission with successful managers earning six figure incomes. Project managers must be familiar with construction and have 3 to 4 years of sales experience.  College is preferred and some training in the door and hardware industry will expedite the time to reach full commission.
